Digitalization has fast become the farming sector’s buzzword – according to some experts it could solve a multitude of problems, including improving sustainability whilst reducing costs. And why is that important? Agriculture today accounts for about 10 percent of greenhouse gas emissions in Europe. But like in any sector, there are big barriers to making digitalization successful – from retooling and upskilling to access to infrastructure and data.
